ARRIVING TO Graz
ALPINE-CON (April 2025) will be hosted in Graz, Austria. Graz is located in south Austria. Because of the city’s central location you can come via car, train or plane.
by car
Parking is widely available in city and the venue, we can strongly recommend coming to Graz with your car.
BY TRAIN
Austria has a very expansive rail system and the Graz Main station is only 20 minutes with a tram ride away from the venue of the tournament. Name of the station is “Fröhlichgasse/Messe”.
by plane
The closest two airports are the Wien-Schwechat (Lower Austria) and Graz-Thalerhof. After the flight you can come to Graz by Train/Bus from Vienna and with a just a tram from Graz Airport.

GETTING TO VENUE
Public Transport: You can take the Bus Lines 34 and N4 or “Number 4 Tram Line” to get to the stop Fröhlichgasse/Messe. The stop is directly in front of the venue.
Parking: There are over 100+ parking spots available in the venue for teams arriving with their cars.
EATING AND GASTRONOMY
We will be having on site catering with a bar available in the venue just like previous year. Food is NOT included in the tickets.
In addition there are several nearby restaurants with a range of price options available.
SOCIAL GATHERINGS
We will be preparing Social Gatherings and activities for all our attendees, with some of it being official dinners with reservations done for you while other will be get together spots for all the tournament attendees.
QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Q: Are Vienna or Graz Airports difficult to get to for non European players?
A: Not at all. There are direct flights from Chicago, Boston, New York, Washington, Montreal and Toronto for players from North America.
On top of that there are direct flights from Shanghai, Shenzen, Bangkok and Taipei as well.
Vienna Airport is also very well connected to several airline hubs, there are several flights from Istanbul and more than 10 flights from Frankfurt everyday. There are also direct flights from Dubai and Doha twice a day each.
If you are flying in from German flying to Graz might be a better option depending on your schedule.
Q: Will there be only one small bar, will we have to wait the entire break period to get drinks/food?
A: Of course we will have a large enough bar to accommodate everyone, in addition we will be offering table service throughout the event. There will be professional catering on site to also provide catering for all attendees!
In addition there are several restaurants within a few minutes walking distance of the event venue so you can enjoy a nice meal in your down time.
